He just let's that sentence die there, then. ] I think I have to do some patrolling more regularly. Fight those beasts that wander into the Grove sometimes. That might set my head straight.

I've been patrolling as well. And once our abilities are under control, we can do an actual excursion into the Forest proper.

Fortunately, I’m not looking for thanks. Their safety is enough, and I’m sure they’re used to the guardians’ protection.

Until then, I’ll have to adjust my work out routine. You and Kanda could join me for that, too! Though, I’m trying to adjust mine to not use my Innocence’d arm. The less I can rely on that, the better.

If you think it might help, I can show you how I do my own training routine. Without Innocence, I've had to adapt to my own style of fighting between spells and hand-to-hand, so I think you might find some differences in the way I handle training as well.

I’d be willing to try! CROW training must be intense, right? I’ll absolutely give it a go, then. How hard do you think it is to do one armed?

Challenging, but far from impossible. You already have the experience to back it up, and we typically don’t wield weapons as large as your sword.

[Link brings a hand to his chin, thinking.]

Would you want to fight with something else that large? Or smaller? Or just your fists?

…I’m still not really good with my claymore. Evident by how often Kanda kicks my ass. But… I think… that’s because those are supposed to be two handed weapons, normally? I tend to rely on controlling it more than wielding it.

So… something smaller could be good. I am generally better with my claws, anyway??

[Link shifts his arm, and he must tap some sort of hidden release faster than Allen can see, because the knife in his sleeve on his right hand suddenly pops out.]

I dual wield, but they’re just as effective one-handed. Lightweight and portable, and easily hidden.

Normally you would train without the blade to begin with, but you’re hardly new at fighting. I think it would be fine.

That would work. I just advise you to exercise extreme caution when using them. Not that I think you wouldn't, just that I know your claymore has unique properties in that it can only exorcise dark matter...

These blades, meanwhile, are happy enough to exorcise your blood from your body, no matter what you are.

Don’t worry, I know. Look, just because my sword doesn’t hurt humans, doesn’t mean you can discount Edge End. My claws still don’t work like Sword of Exorcism does, much to my dismay. If they did, I probably wouldn’t… ever use the sword?

Allen doesn't interrupt his word stumbles, grinning at him. There is a light dusting of pink to his cheeks, and Link will very likely feel his heartbeat thumping just a little faster than usually as he leans into him. Allen does eventually relent though. Even if Allen does just intend to kiss Link, he should be comfortable.

Also because there's a very real chance that Link's knees give out if he isn't sitting.

So, Allen guides him over to the bed, taking a seat first with an overdramatic flop and then pats the spot next to him. ]

You don't have to be nervous, Li. I'm still new to all this too. Even if we mess up a little, that's all part of learning, innit?
